TRIDATU PHILOSOPHY

Tri Datu or Tridatu is a string with deep philosophical value believed by Hindus to possess power. Tri means three and Datu means element or color.

The three colors of Tri Datu are a symbol of the Holy Trinity manifesting as Tri Murti: 1. God Brahma (Creator) – Red, 2. God Vishnu (Preserver) – White, and 3. God Iswara/Shiva (Destroyer) – Black.

Additionally, Tri Datu represents Tri Kona: 1. Birth, 2. Life, and 3. Death. After birth and currently living, securing our future in death. Wearing Tri Datu reminds us of the greatness of God as the creator, preserver, and destroyer.
