TRIDATU PHILOSOPHY

Tri Datu or Tridatu is a combination of threads with deep philosophical value believed by Hindus to possess power. Tri means three and Datu means elements or colors.

The three colors of Tri Datu threads also symbolize the Purity of God in its manifestation as Tri Murti:

1. Lord Brahma (creator), color Red,
2. Lord Vishnu (preserver), color White, and
3. Lord Iswara/Shiva (destroyer), color Black.

In addition, Tri Datu threads symbolize Tri Kona, which are:
1. Birth,
2. Life, and
3. Death.

After birth and currently living, and then death. Wearing Tri Datu threads is expected to always remind us of the greatness of God as the ultimate creator, preserver, and destroyer.
